Collaborative Training Initiative Promotes Digital Wellbeing in Cyprus Schools
- Published in News
Innovade, in partnership with CARDET and the IoD, successfully co-organised a series of trainings focused on enhancing digital wellbeing in primary education.
The initiative brought together 56 teachers and school staff from six primary schools across Cyprus, providing them with practical knowledge and tools to support students’ wellbeing in digital environments.
The training programme, based on the PERMA-Digital framework, combined innovation and pedagogy through:
- Hands-on classroom activities and ready-to-use practices
- Digital tools that support emotional awareness and positive engagement
- Strategies for developing a whole-school approach to digital wellbeing
Particular emphasis was placed on emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Suno, and NotebookLM, positioning them as valuable allies in everyday teaching when used ethically and effectively.
The training series was recognised at European level, receiving the All Digital Weeks 2026 Award in the “Digital Wellbeing” category.
In the next phase of the project, educators will implement the PERMA-Digital approach in their classrooms, ensuring that training outcomes translate into tangible impact through a “learning by doing” approach.
Through this collaboration, Innovade continues to foster innovation in education and contribute to the development of digitally resilient school communities.
